Every long journey has a first step. For the CHEZANASI Campaign, it was a single training session — and a room full of people determined to make inclusion real.
Cheza Foundation held the first training session under the CHEZANASI Campaign at Uhuru Mchanganyiko School, bringing together educators, caregivers, and partners committed to creating an inclusive, safe, and playful learning environment for students with disabilities.
The session focused on building skills and raising awareness among the adults who support these children every day — laying the foundation for a program designed to last, not just a one-off event.
Real, lasting inclusion is never the work of one organisation alone. By starting with the educators and caregivers who see these children every day, the session made sure that what we build together can continue long after any single visit ends.
It was the beginning of an inspiring journey, built on a simple promise: to create lasting impact one child, one game, and one smile at a time.
From this first session grew the training, matches, and celebrations that followed. Every program Cheza Foundation runs at Uhuru Mchanganyiko today can trace its roots back to the commitment made in that room — to put inclusion, safety, and play at the heart of every child's day.
