On a vibrant day at Msimbazi Mseto School Playgrounds, Cheza Foundation brought the spirit of inclusive sport to the TENDA WEMA INITIATIVE — a celebration of community, talent, and the transformative power of sport for persons with disabilities.
The event showcased a spectacular lineup of activities that demonstrated what's possible when we create spaces where every young person—regardless of ability—can play, perform, and shine.

A Day of Inclusive Sport & Performance
Blind Marathon. Our visually impaired athletes took center stage, guided runners moving together in unity and speed. The blind marathon demonstrated how adaptive sport builds confidence, community, and athletic excellence for athletes who are blind or have low vision.

Cerebral Palsy Football. Athletes with cerebral palsy showed the crowd what adaptive football looks like — skill, determination, and pure joy. These young athletes proved that disability is no barrier to athletic achievement.

Acting & Singing. Beyond sport, our participants showcased their artistic talents through performance. From acting to singing, these young people demonstrated that inclusion means creating space for every gift, every talent, and every voice.

The TENDA WEMA INITIATIVE was a powerful reminder that when we truly commit to inclusion, entire communities transform. Families watched their children compete and perform with pride. Schoolmates cheered for athletes with disabilities as equals and champions. Teachers saw their students in a new light—not defined by limitations, but celebrated for their abilities.
This is the future we're building at Cheza Foundation: a Tanzania where persons with disabilities are not just included, but celebrated. Where sport and performance become tools for belonging, confidence, and change.
